Fox 6 News runs Fake news story?

Spread the love

Just recently there was a news story and an interview on a local fox news affiliate station in Birmingham Alabama..

This so called news story suggested that the social security trust fund which currently has 3.8 Trillion dollars in it, might need to borrow more money by raising the debt ceiling.

This is false and it is fake news made up news to scare the elderly people who are already very worried about how they can afford to pay for food that has risen in cost so high that many now have to choose between expensive medications or food.

This is very bad and it is completely not true…

Looks like the news stations are spreading fake news again.

A local Fox Affiliate Fox News 6 in Birmingham Alabama has been reporting that social security checks might not go out if the republicans do not agree to borrow more money by raising the debt limit.

First let us dispel the obvious fake news here.

Right now there is some 3.8 Trillion dollars in the social security trust fund and that fund does not need additional money to send out the checks in June of this year.

In fact it would take as long as 20 plus years before that fund ran out of money.

So, why did Fox 6 news report that social security might be delayed?

They state that according to a U.S. Treasury Department official, but not naming said official, that if it cannot borrow more money it won’t be able to pay?

So, this is not accurate and it is well past the point of subjective reporting.

Why do this?

The people who are depending on their social security checks in order to buy food to eat that has continued to go up in price they are already worried about how they can afford to buy enough food to eat.

It is hard to understand why they would want to spread misinformation and really fake news because at no time in the past has this ever happened,
