The new year and the new deal

Now that we have had a few months to consider what has been going on I can tell you one thing for sure, it sure was not what everyone thought it would be…

Everything is about new things this year is no different, we have a new year approaching and we have a city that is literally out of control, spending money like there is no tomorrow and since we now know that the world did not end a few days ago I think its time to consider the fact that we will have to begin to repay all this money that is being spent.

I have an idea that if people knew where all the money was going and if Washington were to spend some time to communicate that people would be a lot more willing to make changes that would bring in more revenue.

America has always been about banding together when times get tough we help our neighbors out.

Political Bias

Did Wolf Blitzer try to inject bias into some of the questions on last nights republican tea party debate?

Are Americans tired of the constant coverage of all kinds of  stupid topics?

Every day you see political bias in the news, sometimes, it is directed at one party or another, but almost always it is not fair, nor is it balanced.

Fox news seems to think that they have this idea of what fair and balanced really is, but is that true and more importantly are they being influenced by bias on behalf of data they “think” represents America?  Are they more interested in what the Advertisers have to say or are they more interested in the peoples view?

In a news story by the new york times, (used to be a better publication allegedly) a writer talks about political extortion, which is well a lie, since the real truth tends to support that the party of no here has been the democrats, while Harry Reid has not allow a vote on legislation that would actually help balance the budget, the democrats have said no.

Mitch McConnell said hey why not have a vote on both measures, the Harry Reid, measure, (which is allegedly unconstitutional) since all spending bills shall originate in the house, but hey OK that has not stopped the democrats from doing what ever they can no matter if it is legal or not.  Go figure.  Still we have all this political bias in the news media, now that is something that is really interesting, when you study history, and read what was written back in the middle 1800s, you can see a pattern developing here and it is not a pretty picture.

So what can we expect from our dearly elected leaders?

Apparently not much as they continue to blame each other, and the news media continues to blame one party when obviously both parties, are at fault, and not just for this last three years, but for the last 70 years.  There has been a growing issue that is causing some serious problems and we need to take some action and get this done right, not some half baked ignorant super congress, (no Gangs are mentioned anywhere in the constitution) Gangs are not constitutional.

Get it right Washington or the election in 2012 will prove to be unsettling for many of you moss back hypocrites, that have been up there far too long.

Hope and Change?

Just wondering is this the hope and the change that you voted for in 2008?

It sort of seems lacking to me, I mean, what we heard, and what we god were two very different things.

Change is something that we all want, which is why so many people voted for that hope and that change, however, we were betrayed, simple as that, we were told one thing then given something else entirely, they used to call that bait and switch.

A cheap parlor trick, some might say, (allegedly)

Just received this in an Email, (may not necessarily represent the opinions of the owners of this website)

Dear Patriot,

Something incredible has been happening over the last few days, and it was every loyal member of the Tea Party Movement that made it happen! If you’ve been following the news, you’ve heard nearly every political commentator comment on the fact that Speaker John Boehner was forced to change his original plan twice because he couldn’t muster the 216 votes to get it passed. The general commentary goes like this: “In the past, Speaker Boehner could have given away money for a bridge or a library to buy the votes he needed, but the Tea Party banned earmarks so he doesn’t have that luxury.” Many of these old media dinosaurs speak with disdain when they make this point, as though by stripping the Congress of their currency of corruption (earmarks) is a bad thing; they just don’t get it! You should feel extremely proud of what those of us in the Tea Party have done–we have changed the entire culture inside Congress!

Now, if a politician wants to get the votes to pass legislation, he better be able to win on the merits of that legislation. It’s no longer an option to trade an unprincipled vote to fund some absurd pet project. No more “cornhusker kickbacks” for Ben Nelson in Nebraska; no more “Louisiana purchase” for Mary Landrieu in exchange for the passage of the dangerous Obamacare. This is the first example of how we are going to stop the flow of terrible legislation from Washington.

I’m so proud to have played my small role, and I’m genuinely hopeful that as we continue to grow, “We The People” will be able to preserve the blessings of liberty for our children and grandchildren! The fight over the debt ceiling continues but already we’ve secured important victories by changing the process. This organization will continue to recruit tens of thousands of new patriots each and every week, and we’ll continue to provide the latest and best tools to make all of us more effective activists. TOGETHER, WE WILL WIN!

The most incredible part is we have put all of this infrastructure together without having to sell our souls to anyone. We’re entirely funded by patriots just like you who make an average contribution of less than $60! This truly is a historic day for the direction of country and we remain humbled by your continued support.

Thank you,
