Where does it stop no one knows.
It used to be that in the days of American Greatness we were a proud people that might boast that we lived in the greatest nation.
The People are the government not a few we are not a dictatorship.
This morning a certain blond fox news commentator, (bobble head) made the suggestion that only Ohio matters in regard to the presidential election, how stupid is that? So, what should we do cancel the elections for all the other states?
Is it reasonable to believe that only one state matters in an election?
The ignorant idea that a republican cannot win an election without winning Ohio is not only ignorant but stupid.
Think of it this way, if a democrat can win without Ohio, then logically it makes sense that a republican can do so too. This is the worst kind of flagrant political voter intimidation it is wrong and has no place on the News. Fox needs to get some better producers because whom ever is in charge is doing a terrible job of it.
This is the kind of ignorant thinking that got us into the high debt and low employment that we face as a nation, this is the kind of stupidity that makes journalists, look dumb and dumber.
You have to just wonder what they are thinking, but you really know that already they think were stupid, too ignorant and unlearned to figure out what they are saying is not only a lie but a stupid lie.
At least have the backbone to admit that your a liberal and that your biased, that your opinions are just that an opinion not based on fact but based on your personal beliefs, because when you try to influence public opinion with stupidity you only make yourself look more ignorant than the very people you hope to influence.
If as the liberal fox news show this morning suggests, the only state that matters is Ohio, how far from a dictatorship is America, that is the silly kind of foolishness that these people are focused on and that is why they are incapable of understanding just how ignorant they look to the rest of the world.
Shame on you, this is a stain on the journalistic excellence that should be Fox.
You are transparent and we know you for who and what you are, You are fooling no one and your influence is negligible.
The Chances are good that you may not even have heard about this story and the reason may be offensive to some people.
Amazing if this is true then it really show why that the Media should not receive public tax dollars when they are not capable of reporting fairly in respect to news stories, in this case PBS allegedly would not be a “real” news source. When a publicly funded organization does not represent the people have paid tax dollars that go to an organization such as PBS then that creates questions, that should be answered. When you consider it, it undermines the democratic process, because at some point you now have a situation where political bias could become the basis for a dictatorship, oppression and slavery are the products of this kin of evil, (allegedly)
Barack Obama has gone to Congress asking for more money to spend. The President, in a rambling and tedious exercise mixing blame with demands, made quite a few dubious statements in laying out the case for Congress to vote for the plan which as yet does not exist. Much like Obamacare, Congress must ultimately vote for the bill to know what is in it. At one point Mr. Obama made a major gaffe; he identified Abraham Lincoln as the founder of the Republican Party. Lincoln did not join the Republicans until 1856, over two years after the party was founded. The first Republican convention was held in Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854. Such a gaffe would have brought huge amounts of ridicule and derision on George W. Bush, but in the case of Obama the media yawned. Actually, they did more than yawn; government-funded PBS has altered the transcript of the President’s speech, removing the offending comment. The New York Times transcript has the following quote: “We all remember Abraham Lincoln as the leader who saved our Union. Founder of the Republican Party. But in the middle of a civil war, he was also a leader who looked to the future — a Republican President who mobilized government to build the Transcontinental Railroad — (applause) — launch the National Academy of Sciences, set up the first land grant colleges. (Applause.) And leaders of both parties have followed the example he set.” But how does it appear in the PBS transcript? “We all remember Abraham Lincoln as the leader who saved our Union. But in the middle of a Civil War, he was also a leader who looked to the future – a Republican president who mobilized government to build the transcontinental railroad; launch the National Academy of Sciences; and set up the first land grant colleges. And leaders of both parties have followed the example he set.” So PBS has purposely altered a transcript containing a major gaffe by the President. See a screen shot:
Sure; we have a fair and balanced media! The best government money can buy! Update: Brian Birdnow adds: Shocking, but not surprising! B-Ho was also wrong on saying that Lincoln started the first land grant colleges. Each state is in charge of its own educational institutions and most of the states entering the union after 1815 had designated state universities, with grants of land, in their state constitutions. That is the reason that major state universities are in near the geographic center of their respective states, and not located in the major urban areas. Update from Russell Cook: It now says at the top of the transcript page now “EDITOR’S NOTE: The original transcript provided on this page, as was noted, reflected the president’s remarks as prepared for delivery and released by the White House. This transcript has been updated to reflect the remarks as delivered and released by the White House.”
