Quantum Computing?

Is Quan­tum com­put­ing going to change the world?

In a recent news sto­ry Google is work­ing towards a quan­tum com­put­er chip.

But is that real or is it more like a pipe dream?

In still oth­er news sources they claimed that a Quan­tum com­put­er could cause bit­coin to col­lapse into noth­ing.

But again are they talk­ing about a tech­nol­o­gy that may nev­er actu­al­ly hap­pen at all?

So, is Quan­tum com­put­ing going to wreck the stock mar­ket?

No, because cur­rent­ly Quan­tum com­put­ing is still just a dream.

Of course they want to build a huge com­put­er that can change the world but that does not mean that the tech­nol­o­gy is valid or even pos­si­ble.

There are still lim­i­ta­tions and there is like­ly going to con­tin­ue to be lim­i­ta­tions that last for the next 20 years or more.

Basi­cal­ly take what you see on Google and mea­sure it with a grain of salt because there are many things online that are just a dream and so far Quan­tum com­put­ing is just that a side­ways look at what the future might be but with the ideas of the past still in con­trol.
