The Will of the People

Spread the love

It means nothing apparently what the people say means nothing to those in power in washington.

Take for example, the idea that there will now be priority speed for only those large business websites that can afford to pay for those services.

FCC approves plan to consider paid priority on Internet

What this means is that smaller Mom and Pop websites will no longer be able to compete online.

It is a Death Panel for many of the smaller business locations online where many US businesses are desperately clinging to a meager profit.

The truth about what this means is devastating to the American Dream…

The truth is the internet may soon be filled with corporate garbage much like the TV programs that no one watches today…

“There is one Internet. It must be fast, it must be robust, and it must be open,” Wheeler said. “The prospect of a gatekeeper choosing winners and losers on the Internet is unacceptable.”
The prospect of telecom companies cutting deals with content providers has drawn fierce criticism from investors, startups and big Silicon Valley firms. They say smaller companies that can’t afford to pay for faster delivery would likely face additional obstacles against bigger rivals. And consumers could see a trickle-down effect of higher prices as Web sites try to pass along new costs of doing business with Internet service providers.

The idea that the word Unacceptable has become a keyword or talking point, is ignorance, what this means is that over the objection of Millions of voters this powerful government lobby is moving forward in its plan to control and allow others who have more money to control how the internet works.

Perhaps it is time for content providers, to show down access to content that is now being distributed for free.
