Is the Media playing a role in hyping up a news story until it becomes a public risk?
That may well be true of several recent situations and some in the recent past.
As we now know, there were some reports that were spread by the media in the shooting death of an 18 year old in Ferguson Mo.

(Some statements) made by a so called “witness” were later shrouded in doubt because as it turned out the man who made those “statements” was actually involved in the alleged robbery earlier in the day.
In other high profile cases we have learned that Media have fabricated and edited video to make it fit in with their spin.
We all know its wrong to do these things however it seems as if when the Media get caught with their “hand in the jar” no one thinks much about it.
